What is community cat Rescue?

Community Cat Rescue is a small group of cat-loving volunteers located in Palo Alto, CA. They operate on the San Francisco Peninsula to provide homeless street cats and kittens a second chance at life—and often, they are their only chance. They do this through humane trapping, veterinary care, nutritious food, socializing, foster housing, and, ultimately, adoption into loving homes. They are strictly volunteer- and foster-home based – no shelter, no rent, no salaries, no phone bills, no overhead.

Community Cat Rescue is grateful to our long-time, loyal supporters and volunteers who give so generously to help street cats. But their intake of abandoned and homeless cats and kittens is at an all-time high, so that now they have to extend their reach to attract more financial supporters.

How Does The Dancing Cat Support Community Cat Rescue?

Because Community Cat Rescue is not incorporated as a non-profit in the state of California, donations to their support are not tax-deductible. The Dancing Cat is their fiscal sponsor and their partner in fundraising. The Dancing Cat is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.  Donations to The Dancing Cat via this page are tagged for Community Cat Rescue and all donations are given directly to them at no cost or overhead charges.

Won’t you join our family of donors and help Community Cat Rescue continue to provide veterinary care to street cats and kittens on both an ongoing and emergency basis? Your donation will help to:

  • Treat the host of respiratory, intestinal and skin infections and parasites that debilitate malnourished kittens and cats

  • Heal a cat hospitalized with pancreatitis

  • Treat an injury or wound abscess

  • Spay/neuter, vaccinate, test and microchip a litter of adoptable kittens

  • Provide the Rx to resolve a cat’s painful bladder infection

  • And, yes, even provide humane release from advanced, untreatable disease

Right now, Community Cat Rescue’s vet fund is low and we have outstanding bills from several recent emergencies. We seek your help in replenishing it.

Thank you for your understanding, compassion and generosity in helping us give street kitties a real chance at a good life! But most of all, thank you for loving cats.

Note: donations require a PayPal account. To donate via check, make the check out to Karma Cat Rescue and mail to Community Cat Rescue, P.O.Box 1067, Palo Alto 94302.
